Find out the Plants that Attract Butterflies and are "Host Plants."

Butterfly, Garden Art, Hummingbird, Backyard Wildlife

Most plants that attract butterflies provide both food for the adults and food for the caterpillars. It's important that your garden provides a dual purpose to really be a "Butterfly Garden." Butterflies have various life stages and they need to have plants that will support all of those stages.

I compiled a list of plants that attract butterflies sorted by butterfly along with a list of their nectar and host plants. Make sure that you plant only native plants to your region. This list of plants that attract butterflies will provide you with a great shopping list.
