Oh, The Flower Power of Purple!

Butterfly, Garden Art, Hummingbird, Backyard Wildlife

#1 Plants that Attract Butterflies Show
Bold Flower Color of Purple.

Is purple your favorite color? It is if you're a butterfly, a kid or Cleopatra!!
Butterflies are more attracted to the color of purple than any other color and it's the most loved color by artists and among 75% of all pre-adolescent children. The Purple Heart is a U.S. Military medal of decoration given to soldiers wounded in battle. People of authority or high rank wear purple.

They say purple is the color of good judgment. A color that is used for spiritual fulfillment - surround yourself with purple and you will have peace of mind. Ok, now that I know that, I'm off to buy purple sheets and a whole new wardrobe.

The color of Purple is also used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty. Purple is believed to be the ideal color. Purple has a special, almost sacred place in nature: orchid, lilac, violet flowers and lavender are often considered delicate and precious.

When shopping around for flowers in the purple family, check out words that represent various shades of the color purple.

  • How about mixing purple with lushes green? Make a striking combination in deep or bright jewel tones as well as mixing it up with a lighter shade of green.
  • Add a little feminine touch with the color of pink. Pink and Purple – WOW!!
